QA QC Head _ Refrigeration

1. Quality Management System (QMS):
Develop, implement, and maintain ISO/ASME/TUV certified QMS for tube manufacturing.Ensure adherence to ASTM, JIS, EN, BIS, and customer-specific standards for inner grooved tubes.Lead audits (internal & external) and manage documentation, certifications, and compliance.2. Quality Assurance:Define quality policies, procedures, and guidelines for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.Oversee supplier quality management for copper/aluminium billets, chemicals, and consumables.Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen) to minimize defects and rejections.3. Quality Control:Monitor and manage testing of tube dimensions, wall thickness, inner groove profiles, mechanical properties, and surface finish.Supervise NDT methods (Eddy current, Hydro testing, Ultrasonic, Leak testing).Ensure calibration of gauges, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.Approve and release final products before dispatch.4. Team Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and lab technicians.Train workforce on quality awareness, SOPs, and defect prevention practices.5. Customer & Vendor Interaction:Handle customer complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.Work with vendors for quality improvements and supplier audits.6. Reporting & Analytics:Track and report quality KPIs: rejection %, customer complaints, cost of poor quality.Present quality performance reviews to management and suggest improvement roadmaps.Qualifications & Experience:B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering or related.12-20 years of experience in QA/QC, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role in refrigeration/HVAC tubing or similar manufacturing industry.Experience in handling international audits and quality certifications.
