QA/QC Manager Propulsion

Role & responsibilities

1. Develop and implement quality plans, procedures, and standards for propulsion systems in passenger rolling stock projects.2. Collaborate with design, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to quality requirements during all project phases.3. Monitor project schedules and deliverables to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations.4. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential quality issues.5. Lead and participate in quality audits, inspections, and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.6. Analyse quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities and improve overall quality performance.7. Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure adherence to quality requirements and drive continuous improvement in their performance.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
2. Extensive experience for at least 10-12 years in quality management within the rolling stock industry with a focus on propulsion systems. Must have worked on Traction Motors, Traction converters, CVS converters etc.3. Strong knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).4. Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.5. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to propulsion systems (e.g., EN 50388, EN 50343, UIC leaflets).6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.8. Experience in conducting quality audits and assessments.9. Professional certifications in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) will be plus.
