This role is responsible heading the central sourcing across various SBU including Freight, Metro , Propulsion etc. The candidate would have various SBU sourcing heads report into him/her and be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, setting up and improving procurement processes (including setting up 100% e-procurement systems)

A recently super annuated person of the rank of a joint secretary /additional secretary who has strong experience in tendering and procurement activities, particularly in the field of Railway or Metro systems. Candidates must be fully conversant with electronic procurement systems such as IREPS or GEM and be able to setup and manage a robust central procurement organisation to manage a total procurement of around INR 4000-5000 crores per annum.
Candidate must be hands on and lead the team of around 25 people from the front and be able to manage the entire department independently in coordination with the respective SBU heads and CEOs of the various business. Candidate must be fully conversant of contract management including import contracts.
The role will be a full time position based out of Kolkata offering suitable remuneration package to the right candidate. Immediate joining would be preferred.
