QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer with 2-3 years of experience in manual and automation testing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of both web and mobile applications. Proficiency in tools like Cypress for web automation and Appium for mobile automation is essential for this role. You will collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to detect issues early in the development cycle and guarantee a top-notch product release. Your responsibilities will include creating and executing manual test cases, conducting functional, regression, UI, and API testing, as well as logging defects in JIRA. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Cypress and Appium, integrating these tests into CI/CD pipelines, and refining test suites for optimal performance and reliability. A key aspect of this role involves working in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and proposing enhancements to testing processes and tools. The ideal candidate should possess 2-3 years of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing, a strong grasp of Cypress for web automation, expertise in Appium for mobile automation (iOS/Android), familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, API testing experience, knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and robust analytical and problem-solving skills. Additional skills that would be advantageous for this role include knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter/Locust, familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, and experience with cloud testing platforms like BrowserStack.
