QA Automation Engineer

Position Overview

You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automation frameworks and test scripts using Selenium, ensuring our products maintain the highest levels of quality, scalability, and reliability across all stages of development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define comprehensive test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and execute automated regression, smoke, and functional test suites.
• Integrate test scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) for continuous testing and reporting.
• Perform manual testing when required for exploratory or critical workflows.
• Identify, log, and track defects to closure using tools like JIRA.
• Enhance automation coverage and reusability through scripting best practices.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to overall QA automation maturity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of QA experience, with at least 3 years in automation testing using Selenium.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle processes.
• Hands-on experience with Git or Bitbucket for version control.
• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured (advantage).
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BrowserStack or Sauce Labs for cloud-based testing.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
