Job Title: QA Automation Engineer (Cypress / Playwright)

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Cypress or Playwright to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and API testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, CI/CD integration, and a keen eye for detail to ensure product quality across releases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress or Playwright.
• Build robust end-to-end, UI, and API automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing ones.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing as part of agile development cycles.
• Ensure test automation is integrated with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them through to closure using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Maintain and update test documentation and contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on automation best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in test automation using Cypress or Playwright.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript or similar programming languages.
• Experience with REST API testing and related tools (e.g., Postman, Supertest).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
