Job Description

Position Summary

QA Tester

Key Responsibilities

Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to prepare test plans and test cases.
Execute
manual
and/or
automated tests
to ensure product quality.
Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, performance, and compatibility testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery.
Validate bug fixes and perform re-testing.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and release planning activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
Hands-on experience with test management and bug-tracking tools.
Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
Ability to write basic test automation scripts (Java, Python, JS, etc.).
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
