About The Opportunity

We are hiring for a Senior Python Developer to join a fast-paced IT services and digital transformation consulting organisation that delivers enterprise web and cloud-native solutions across fintech, healthcare, e-commerce, and SaaS sectors. This is a fully remote role based in India, working on high-impact backend systems, APIs, and microservices for global clients.Role: Senior Python Developer (Primary title)Role & Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI) for production-grade applications.
• Design and implement microservices, containerise applications with Docker, and collaborate on orchestration patterns (Kubernetes) for resilient deployments.
• Own database schema design and performance tuning for SQL (Postgres/MySQL) and NoSQL stores (MongoDB), including query optimisation and migration strategies.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (unit/integration), code reviews, and observability to ensure quality, security, and uptime in an Agile environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps to translate requirements into maintainable code and APIs with clear SLAs.
• Mentor junior engineers, create engineering best-practices (TDD, coding standards), and contribute to technical design reviews and architecture decisions.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• 7+ years professional experience in Python backend development with demonstrable production projects.
• Strong experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI and building RESTful APIs for high-throughput systems.
• Proven experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and unit/integration testing (TDD preferred).
  

Preferred

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code.
• Hands-on with SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB) and performance optimisation techniques.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability (Prometheus, ELK/EFK) and microservices patterns for scalability and reliability.
