Job Description

Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer – Python & Data Systems Time Zone: US overlap preferred (minimum 5 hours) Type: Full-time We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing backend infrastructure, modernizing legacy systems, and optimizing data workflows. You will work on designing and maintaining robust, scalable systems with a strong focus on Python , SQL , and data processing . Key Responsibilities: Refactor and improve existing legacy applications Develop efficient backend solutions using Python 3.x Write and optimize complex queries using ANSI SQL Work with Pandas , SQLAlchemy , and PyODBC for database and data manipulation Perform data validation , integration , and write automated test scripts Collaborate using Git , follow Agile workflows, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines Required Skills: Strong backend development and database interaction skills Familiarity with cloud environments and DevOps practices is a plus Strong communication, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail Show more Show less
