Purchase Officer

As a Purchase Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services necessary for the company's operations. Your responsibilities will include: - Sourcing suppliers and vendors for pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, and other goods and services required by the company. - Evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and other factors to ensure the best value for the company. - Negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to obtain favorable terms and conditions. - Coordinating with internal stakeholders from various departments to understand their procurement requirements and timelines. - Generating purchase orders, reviewing purchase requisitions, and ensuring accuracy of orders placed. - Monitoring and tracking order status to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, resolving any issues or delays. - Maintaining accurate records of purchases, including prices, quantities, and delivery dates. - Managing relationships with suppliers, addressing concerns or issues that may arise, and collaborating to resolve them. - Staying informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to procurement and supply chain management. - Implementing cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to optimize procurement operations. Qualifications and Skills required for this role: - B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred. - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. - Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners. - Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.,
