Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for handling the procurement process, sourcing suppliers and managing vendor relationships to ensure a seamless supply chain and optimize costs. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, make strategic decisions and implement best practices within our procurement function.
• Identify, evaluate, and select vendors; negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms; and maintain strong relationships.
• Skilled in negotiating contracts and prices to achieve maximum cost savings without compromising on quality.
• Coordinate with project, design, and service teams to forecast and plan material requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of project materials to avoid delays.
• Process purchase orders, schedule deliveries, and ensure timely fulfilment of orders.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain approved vendor lists.
• Manage purchase orders, documentation, and compliance with company policies and standards.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock and maintain accurate records.
• Manage the purchasing budget, track key metrics, and report on purchasing performance.
• Track market trends, new products, and innovations in the water and wastewater equipment industry.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and resolve any supply- related issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 6-8

  years of experience

  in procurement/purchase in the

  water & wastewater management industry

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  ETP, STP, WTP, RO, and UF system

  components and suppliers.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP/purchase management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
