Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchase Manager, located in Kolkata. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's procurement activities. Daily responsibilities include supplier selection, negotiating contracts, evaluating and managing supply chain processes, and maintaining good vendor relationships. The role also involves ensuring cost-effective purchasing while adhering to the company's quality and delivery standards.

Qualifications

Strong procurement, supplier relationship management, and vendor negotiation skills
Experience in supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics
Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of procurement software and tools to streamline purchasing processes
Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; professional certifications in procurement are a plus
Experience in the mining or metals industry is highly desirable
