Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead global sourcing and supplier management activities for our organization. This role demands strategic oversight of procurement operations across India and international markets, ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and timely procurement processes. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of experience in the technology or services sector, with a strong background in managing procurement functions at both domestic and global levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard potential suppliers aligned with business needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements ensuring favorable terms.
  • Foster and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance through regular reviews and KPIs.

Procurement Process Management

  • Oversee end-to-end procurement cycle from requisition to payment.
  • Create and manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Implement systems for tracking and reporting procurement activities.

Cost Management and Optimization

  • Drive cost-effectiveness across procurement operations.
  • Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing and payment terms.

Compliance and Policy Adherence

  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulatory requirements including SEZ, STPI, and Customs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and procurement records aligned with SLAs.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill procurement needs.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on procurement performance.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead and mentor a centralized procurement team based in India.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes.
  • Represent procurement in strategic planning and leadership forums.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Masters degree in Finance or related discipline is a plus.
  • Minimum 15 years of procurement experience, preferably in the technology or services sector.
  • Proven experience in managing procurement at both India and global levels.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks including SEZ, STPI, and Customs.
