Job Description

Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors for raw materials (e.g., polymers, masterbatches, additives), components, tools, and consumables.
Prepare and process purchase orders as per approved requisitions.
Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost optimization.
Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production downtime.
Coordinate with stores, production, and accounts departments regarding material requirements and GRN (Goods Receipt Note) processing.
Maintain vendor database and evaluate vendor performance periodically (price, quality, delivery).
Monitor market trends for raw material prices (e.g., PP, ABS, HDPE, LDPE, PVC, etc.).
Liaise with the quality department for material inspection and supplier quality assurance.
Ensure proper documentation as per ISO / QMS standards.
Assist in implementing cost control measures and developing alternate suppliers.
