Role & responsibilities Set up and operate EDM machines (Wire Cut, Die Sinking, or CNC EDM) according to specifications and job orders. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets . Select appropriate electrodes, tools, and materials required for the operation. Monitor machine operations and adjust parameters to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy. Perform routine inspection and measurement using tools like micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMM (if applicable). Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic preventive maintenance . Prepare and process purchase orders as per approved requisitions. Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost optimization. Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production downtime. Coordinate with stores, production, and accounts departments regarding material requirements and GRN (Goods Receipt Note) processing. Maintain vendor database and evaluate vendor performance periodically (price, quality, delivery). Monitor market trends for raw material prices (e.g., PP, ABS, HDPE, LDPE, PVC, etc.). Liaise with the quality department for material inspection and supplier quality assurance. Ensure proper documentation as per ISO / QMS standards.
