Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, prices, and payment terms with vendors. Procurement operations: Place purchase orders, track orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production or project needs. Inventory control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize costs and prevent stockouts. Market analysis: Stay informed on market trends, new products, and potential cost-saving opportunities. Record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, delivery information, and invoices. Collaboration: Work with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and align procurement activities with project goals.
