Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing:

Source APIs from qualified US Market suppliers.
Maintain relationships with existing vendors and identify new suppliers.
Evaluate supplier credentials and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GMP, USFDA, EUGMP).

Negotiation & Cost Management:

Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts.
Work with finance and production departments to manage cost-effectiveness.

Inventory & Planning:

Monitor stock levels and forecast needs based on production plans.
Coordinate with production and warehouse teams for timely delivery.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure all procurement activities comply with regulatory and quality standards.
Maintain accurate records for audits, including COAs, DMFs, and vendor certifications.

Market Intelligence:

Stay updated on global market trends, pricing, and supply-demand changes.
Track geopolitical or regulatory changes that may impact sourcing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:
B.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc / MBA (Supply Chain or Pharma Management preferred).
Experience:
28 years in pharmaceutical API procurement or supply chain.
Knowledge:

Understanding of APIs and pharma regulations (e.g., USFDA, EDQM, WHO).
Familiarity with sourcing tools, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Skills:

Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Vendor management and relationship building.
