Labour Sourcing/Procurment Head Construction Division Designation: Department Head (Labour Sourcing/Procurment) Reports To: VP Execution & Operations Location: Alibaug / Navi Mumbai / Site travel as required Role Summary: The Labour Head will be fully responsible for sourcing, deploying, managing, and optimizing labour resources across all Aaryan Devcon projects. He will act as the central hub for labour manpower ensuring that every site has the required skilled and unskilled workforce on time, at the right cost, and with high productivity. The role demands someone who already has strong industry connects, established networks of labour contractors, and proven experience managing large construction workforces. He must understand how to reduce dependency, prevent idle labour, and control costs while maintaining the companys high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Labour Sourcing & Networking Build and maintain a strong hub of labour sources including skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled categories (masonry, shuttering, steel, finishing, etc.). Leverage existing relationships and contractor networks to ensure continuous manpower availability. Develop and maintain a database of labour contractors, subcontractors, and agencies across Maharashtra and nearby regions. Negotiate and finalize cost-effective labour rates and contracts with clear deliverables and performance clauses. 2. Deployment & Resource Planning Forecast and plan labour requirements in coordination with Project Managers, General Managers, and Operations . Ensure timely deployment and mobilization of labour for all ongoing and upcoming sites. Allocate labour efficiently to balance workload and minimize idle time or overstaffing. Track attendance, productivity, and efficiency daily across sites through supervisors. 3. Billing & Payment Management: Oversee contractor billing processes, verify work completion, and ensure timely and accurate payments. Maintain records and reconcile labour bills with actual site work. 4. Cost Control & Performance Monitoring Continuously monitor labour productivity to ensure output aligns with cost and project schedules. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising speed or quality. Analyze labour data and provide management reports on efficiency, costs, and workforce utilization. Prevent cost overruns, absenteeism, and delays through proactive management. 5. Compliance & Discipline Ensure all contractors comply with labour laws, safety norms, ESI/PF, and company standards. Maintain discipline and harmony among workforce at sites. Coordinate with HR for documentation, ID, and onboarding formalities of contract labour. 6. Coordination & Reporting Act as the single point of contact for all labour-related matters between sites, operations, and management. Provide daily/weekly updates on labour strength, issues, and requirements. Work closely with the VP Execution & Operations to align labour strategies with project goals and cost targets. Key Skills & Experience: 715 years of experience in construction labour management (villa, building, or infrastructure projects). Strong existing network of labour suppliers and contractors in Maharashtra or nearby states. Proven ability to mobilize large teams (100-500 workers) quickly and efficiently. Excellent negotiation, coordination, and on-ground management skills. Knowledge of labour laws, safety practices, and statutory compliance. Capable of handling multiple sites and labour categories simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: Company Leadership & Management: Act as the operational head of the company , overseeing all functions — Execution, Purchase, HR, Accounts, Billing, Operations, and Fleet. Build a performance-driven organizational culture that promotes accountability, communication, and ownership at every level. Represent the company internally and externally when required, ensuring consistent professionalism and reliability. Establish and enforce company-wide systems, SOPs, and reporting frameworks. Help in business expansion, new branch setup, and operational scaling strategies. People & Process Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor second-line leadership in each department. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement measurable KPIs. Create an ecosystem where you and the MD only need strategic updates , not involvement in daily firefighting.
