Job Title: Purchase Executive

Location: Chandni Chowk, Kolkata
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month
Industry Preference: Candidates from Iron & Steel industry preferred

Experience :3-4 years

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities, vendor coordination, and material sourcing. Candidates with experience in the iron & steel sector will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day purchase activities for raw materials, consumables, and other company requirements
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors, especially within the iron & steel industry
• Maintain purchase records, price comparisons, and vendor database
• Ensure timely delivery of materials by coordinating with suppliers
• Prepare purchase orders (POs) and follow up for delivery and billing
• Work closely with stores, accounts, and production teams to understand requirements
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of materials
• Resolve any issues related to delivery, pricing, or quality with vendors
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
• Experience in iron & steel industry is highly preferred
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing and material procurement
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
