Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Operations:

• Source and procure high-quality spices and botanicals from reliable suppliers and farmers.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement.

2. Cultivation and Agronomy:

• Collaborate with farmers and agronomists to implement best practices in cultivation.
• Monitor crop health, quality, and yield to meet production requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to contract farmers.

3. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all procured materials meet quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of raw material suppliers.
• Work closely with the quality control team to address any issues.

4. Market Analysis:

• Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and availability of raw materials.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions.

5. Inventory Management:

• Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Track and manage stock levels, reordering as necessary.

6. Documentation and Compliance:

• Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and agriculture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement of spices, botanicals, or agricultural products.
• Strong knowledge of cultivation and agronomy practices.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and procurement software.
• Ability to travel frequently to supplier locations and cultivation sites.
