Job Description

Description

We are seeking a skilled Purchase Engineer to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supplier management, ensuring that our purchasing processes are efficient and cost-effective.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
Negotiate prices and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
Analyze purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders for materials and equipment.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure material specifications are met.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management to avoid shortages or excess stock.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2-8 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management.
Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
Familiarity with quality control standards and supplier evaluation metrics.
