Job Description

Role Overview: As a Subcontracting / Purchase Engineer at our company located in Changodar, Ahmedabad, your primary responsibility will be to manage vendors for Mechanical Spare parts, Heavy machinery, Foundry, and Casting. You will be expected to have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6 months to 1 year of experience in vendor management. Your role will involve preparing and issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQs), evaluating proposals, negotiating agreements with selected suppliers, and ensuring that suppliers comply with quality standards, timelines, and contractual agreements. Additionally, you will monitor outsourced work progress through site visits, virtual coordination, and regular reporting, track delivery milestones, address any issues that arise during outsourced work, and maintain reports on supplier performance and project progress. Communication with internal teams and suppliers to keep everyone informed regularly will also be a crucial aspect of your role. It is essential for you to stay updated with the latest market trends in materials, processes, and systems while utilizing Microsoft Office tools and presentations effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Possess good knowledge about casting & machining processes - Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to potential suppliers - Evaluate proposals, negotiate, and finalize agreements with selected suppliers/vendors - Ensure that suppliers adhere to quality standards, timelines, and contractual agreements - Monitor the progress of outsourced work through site visits, virtual coordination, and regular reporting - Track delivery milestones and ensure suppliers meet their commitments - Address any issues or bottlenecks that arise during outsourced work, such as material shortages or quality problems - Maintain reports on supplier performance, delivery status, and project progress - Communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers to keep everyone informed regularly - Stay updated with the latest market trends in materials, processes, systems, etc. - Utilize Microsoft Office tools and presentations efficiently Qualifications Required: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering - 6 months to 1 year of experience in vendor management - Good knowledge about casting & machining processes - Ability to prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) - Strong negotiation skills to finalize agreements with suppliers/vendors - Excellent communication skills to maintain regular coordination with internal teams and suppliers - Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools and presentations Additional Details: N/A,
