Job Description

Procurement Engineer (Electrical)

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize purchasing of electrical components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with project budgets.
Procure materials as per site requirements, based on BOQ.
Identify and evaluate new vendors, prepare comparison sheets, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Review and verify vendor documentation, including GTPs, drawings, type test reports, and material quality plans, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
Coordinate with clients and project managers for third-party inspections, MSETCL inspections, and client quality checks.
Communicate daily with clients to strategize procurement schedules aligned with site activity.
Collaborate with project managers and site teams to determine material needs, maintain inventory levels, and manage budgets effectively.
Prepare and submit monthly purchase budgets, and coordinate with the accounts team for timely vendor payments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients, ensuring smooth operations and reliable service.
