Role Overview: As a Purchase and Supplier Quality Engineer at the company, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products supplied by vendors. Your role will involve conducting audits, monitoring product quality, collaborating with suppliers, and managing import/export documentation. Your expertise in quality assurance, logistics, and supplier management will be crucial for maintaining high product quality and supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Perform regular audits and assessments of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards. Identify areas for improvement and oversee corrective actions. - Monitor and evaluate the quality of products supplied by vendors, ensuring they meet required specifications for plastic and steel products. - Implement and maintain quality control processes to monitor incoming materials and products from suppliers. Resolve quality issues through collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. - Lead investigations into product non-conformances and quality issues. Define root causes, implement corrective actions, and establish preventive measures. - Ensure accurate and timely completion of quality documentation, including audit reports, inspection reports, and supplier performance reviews. - Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance of materials. Resolve delivery and quality discrepancies with suppliers. - Manage import and export documentation for product shipments, ensuring compliance with international regulations and company standards. - Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement in product quality, cost efficiency, and supply chain operations. - Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for quality enhancement, cost reduction, and supply chain optimization. - Coordinate effectively between suppliers, purchasing, engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality audits, quality assurance, or supplier quality engineering, with specific experience in plastic and steel products. - Solid understanding of quality control techniques, assurance methods, and supplier management processes. Familiarity with international quality standards preferred. - Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and quality assurance's role within the supply chain. Ability to manage supplier performance and ensure on-time deliveries. - Practical experience with import/export documentation, compliance regulations, and shipping processes across borders. - Analytical skills to identify trends, resolve quality issues, and conduct root cause analysis. Proficient in corrective actions. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and external stakeholders. - Attention to detail for meticulous assessment of supplier processes, materials, and products. - Experience with quality management systems, audit software, and MS Office tools, along with knowledge of ERP systems.
