Job Description: Senior Technician / Technician Pumping Systems Maintenance Position: Senior Technician / Technician Pumping Systems Maintenance Location: Muharraq, Kingdom of Bahrain Job Type: Full-time/Contract Salary: Competitive Based on Experience Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Shift Leaders Industry: Airport Maintenance Job Summary: The Senior Technician / Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and operations of the airport's pumping systems during their assigned shift. This includes The role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, performing routine maintenance, ensuring the efficient functioning of stormwater, fire suppression, sewage, and drainage pumps, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role requires effective communication, technical expertise, and proficiency in maintenance. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Tradesmen certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in pumping systems maintenance, preferably in an airport or similar environment. Preferred Skills: Technical Skills: Hands-on experience on O&M of pumping system. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Other Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work under pressure. Certifications & Training Tradesmen certifications in the maintenance and operation of pumps. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintenance & Repairs Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Use diagnostic tools and maintenance manuals to identify faults and implement solutions. Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new Pumps. 2. Operation & Maintenance Oversee the operation of pumping systems, including stormwater, fire suppression, sewage, and drainage pumps. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment is functioning optimally. Coordinate and perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as needed. 3. Technical Proficiency: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to pumping systems. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines. 4. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain compliance with airport regulations and environmental standards. Report any safety incidents or equipment malfunctions promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager. 5. Team Coordination & Support Work closely with the Shift Leader, Supervisor, and other technicians to ensure smooth maintenance operations. Assist in training junior technicians on maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques. 6. Work Environment: Work is primarily conducted in an airport environment, including mechanical rooms, pump stations, and other facilities. May require occasional lifting of equipment or components. Must adhere to all airport safety protocols and regulations.
