You will also be setting editorial benchmarks, refining editorial quality, collaborating with sales and marketing teams, building and leading a high-performing team, and integrating real-time feedback into development cycles. To excel in this role, you should have at least 12 years of experience in children's book publishing or a related editorial/product leadership role. You must possess a strong understanding of product-market fit, hands-on experience in leading editorial and design teams, and the ability to make data-driven decisions while keeping creative storytelling at the center. Additionally, having a founder instinct, industry connections, and a track record of delivering cost-efficient, high-quality products under tight timelines will be advantageous.
