Public Relations Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a Public Relations Expert with 3 to 6 years of experience in communications, media relations, and public affairs. The role requires strong command over both print and electronic media engagement across Karnataka, including newspapers, television, radio, and digital platforms.

The position is based in Bengaluru with statewide media coordination responsibilities. The candidate will manage media strategies independently, build relationships, and ensure effective narrative building for campaigns and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage dissemination of press advisories, releases, and official statements to Bengaluru-based, State & National media.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and digital influencers across Karnataka.
• Coordinate and manage press conferences, media briefings, and interviews across print and electronic media.
• Monitor daily coverage in state newspapers, television, radio, and online portals; prepare analytical reports and recommend proactive strategies.
• Support in developing media kits, briefing notes, and background material for spokespersons.
• Provide strategic input on media campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging across channels.
• Guide and supervise junior team members to ensure seamless execution.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of professional experience in media or public relations with proven exposure to print and electronic media ecosystems.
• Established media network across Karnatakas leading newspapers, television, radio, and digital outlets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Kannada.
• Prior experience covering political, government, or public policy-related beats will be an added advantage.
