Public Relations Officer

A Public Relations Officer helps build trust and visibility for the organization by managing communication with patients, the public, media, and internal teams. The role focuses on maintaining a positive image, supporting outreach activities, and ensuring clear, timely communication across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and communication partners.
• Draft press releases, announcements, speeches, and internal communication materials.
• Manage all incoming media queries and coordinate interviews, events, and press conferences.
• Monitor public perception and implement strategies to improve the organization’s reputation.
• Handle crisis communication by preparing quick, accurate responses and coordinating with management during sensitive situations.
• Oversee social media presence, digital campaigns, and online reputation management.
• Support hospital or organizational events, outreach programs, and marketing initiatives.
• Work closely with management to maintain consistent messaging across departments.
• Track communication performance, prepare reports, and suggest improvements.

Educational Qualifications:
Degree (any one):

• Mass Communication
• Public Relations
• Hospital or Healthcare Management

Postgraduate Degree (optional but preferred):

• M.A. in Public Relations or Communication
• M.B.A. in Hospital Administration
• Post Graduate Diploma in PR or Media Management

Preferred Qualities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage media relations with confidence
• Crisis management and quick problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of digital marketing, social media trends, and content creation
• Professional behavior, teamwork skills, and attention to detail
