PRT Maths

The PRT Mathematics teacher is responsible for teaching foundational math concepts to students from Classes 1 to 5. The role includes delivering interactive lessons, using child-friendly teaching strategies, conducting assessments, and helping students develop strong numeracy and problem-solving skills in alignment with the school’s curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Classroom Delivery

• Teach math concepts such as:
• Number systems
• Basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Fractions, decimals, measurements
• Time, money, shapes, patterns, data handling
• Use activity-based and play-based teaching methods suitable for young learners.
• Prepare structured lesson plans, teaching aids, and worksheets.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Conduct regular assessments, oral tests, and written evaluations.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents.

Classroom Management

• Create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
• Manage classroom discipline and promote good learning habits.
• Use visual aids, manipulatives, charts, and ICT tools to simplify concepts.

Student Development

• Identify learning gaps and provide extra support where needed.
• Encourage logical thinking, creativity, and confidence in mathematics.
• Support children in math-related activities, competitions, and projects.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain attendance records, exam data, and academic documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.
• Coordinate with other subject teachers for integrated learning.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably with Mathematics).
• B.Ed.,/D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed / JBT / BTC or equivalent primary teaching qualification.
• CTET (Paper I) cleared is preferred as per CBSE norms.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of primary-level mathematics.
• Patience, empathy, and child-friendly teaching approach.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to use creative methods, games, and activities for teaching math.

Experience

• 0–2 years of teaching experience preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,447.38 per month
