Job Description

Job Summary:

Western Dance Teacher (PRT level)

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Teach and train students in different Western dance forms such as Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Freestyle, and Funk.
Design age-appropriate lesson plans and choreographies for events, assemblies, and annual functions.
Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline while ensuring a joyful and safe learning environment.
Encourage creativity, expression, and confidence among students through movement-based learning.
Coordinate with other faculty members for school functions, stage performances, and inter-school competitions.
Prepare students for internal and external dance performances and assessments.
Maintain student progress records and provide constructive feedback.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of dance equipment and space.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Performing Arts / Dance / Fine Arts or equivalent certification in Western dance forms.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in teaching dance to school students (preferably at the primary level).
Sound knowledge of various Western dance styles and choreography techniques.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Positive, enthusiastic attitude with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
