About the Organization

Uma Educational and Technical Society, Kakinada is a leading NGO in Kakinada district, Andhra Pradesh, working towards the noble cause of disability. For 37 years, it has been instrumental in rendering services to the poor, needy, and people with all kinds of disability. It has been providing dedicated service to such people free of cost with the support of high-value donors. So far the trust has been able to reach out to thousands of beneficiaries or persons with disabilities.

Project

Responsibilities

• Designing and fabricating orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on patients’ measurements and physician prescriptions

• Interviewing and assessing patients to identify unique needs and briefing on treatment plans.

• Measuring or taking impressions of a patient’s body to design a brace, artificial limb or other supportive device with attention to physiological function and health

• Providing patients with device use and maintenance instructions

• Maintaining appropriate documentation and records of the performance of the project.

• Providing ongoing care and repairing or adjusting devices as treatments progress

• Ability to manage a group of different individuals.

• Innovative thinking and the ability to establish one’s idea.

• Ability to prepare and organize events as well as maintain a professional atmosphere and deal with a potential crisis.

• Good knowledge of Computer Skills; MS Office.
