Project : District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) Responsibilities • Designing and fabricating orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on patients’ measurements and physician prescriptions • Interviewing and assessing patients to identify unique needs and briefing on treatment plans. • Measuring or taking impressions of a patient’s body to design a brace, artificial limb or other supportive device with attention to physiological function and health • Providing patients with device use and maintenance instructions • Maintaining appropriate documentation and records of the performance of the project. • Providing ongoing care and repairing or adjusting devices as treatments progress Personal Attributes: • Possession of leadership skills. • Communication and social skills. • Ability to manage a group of different individuals. • Innovative thinking and the ability to establish one’s idea. • Ability to prepare and organize events as well as maintain a professional atmosphere and deal with a potential crisis. • Good knowledge of Computer Skills; MS Office. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Prosthetist and Orthotist located in Kakinada. The Prosthetist and Orthotist will be responsible for screening and assessing patients, designing and fitting orthotic and prosthetic devices, conducting gait analysis, and providing patient care. The role involves working closely with patients to ensure the best outcomes and improve their quality of life through customized solutions. Day-to-day tasks will also include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and participating in ongoing patient rehabilitation and follow-up care. Qualifications Proficiency in Orthotics and Prosthetics Experience in conducting Gait Analysis Strong skills in Patient Care Knowledge of Medicine related to rehabilitation services Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Relevant certifications or degrees in Orthotics and Prosthetics Experience in the rehabilitation field is a plus
