Proposals Specialist

The Proposal Manager provides direct support to sales efforts by managing the delivery of discrete deliverables to clients. They offer leadership, assistance, and advice to Sales pursuit teams from the initial engagement contact through award. Working with cross-functional organizations, they create compelling, compliant, and thorough offers. The individuals in this role understand their own area and can perform all facets of their responsibilities. They have experience in handling most issues that may arise but may require guidance with new or out-of-scope assignments. The Proposal Manager manages small to mid-size projects with minimal oversight from their supervisor and focuses on a primary domain while being leveraged across other industries. Responsibilities of the Proposal Manager include creating the initial direction of contributors and all members of the pursuit team, project managing a share site and content/document structure, scheduling and facilitating the Proposal Storyboard Session, detailed review of RFx with a focus on requirements, setting and managing schedules, plans, contacts, deadlines, and progress monitoring, populating/updating the calendar of opportunity and major milestones, developing the outline and responsibility matrix, alerting pursuit team leads of staffing needs and other resources, overseeing the coordination of activities with graphics, editing, and production/shipping, incorporating strategies, themes, and other material into the response sections, ensuring clear responses to questions, creating proposal/presentation material, researching boilerplate content, ensuring all timelines and requirements are met, taking charge of following current templates and corporate branding, flagging issues to management when due dates or customer requirements are not met, and adding/creating content to the Content Library.,
