Proposal Engineer

Job Description

Proposal engineers must be able to think creatively and strategically when it comes to writing these proposals. They need to understand how to best present their companys services or products in order to appeal to their target audience. Key responsibilities: Creating detailed engineering design drawings and models of proposed projects based on client specifications . Developing cost estimates for projects based on client specifications with guidance of RM Preparing proposals for bids on new projects, including reviewing existing plans and researching potential challenges that could arise during construction Preparing bids on behalf of clients based on their specifications and requirements Preparation of Quotations and techno commercial proposals Electrical drawings review and analysis Reviewing quotes from other companies to determine if they are competitive or if adjustments need to be made . Performing engineering tasks such as developing designs, creating models, and conducting tests to ensure that designs meet specifications . Communicating with clients to gather information about their needs and preferences regarding design solutions . Identifying new vendors and vendor evaluation. Best vendor management skills and vendor coordination skills . Coordination for after sales requirements of clients . Key performance Indicators Lead conversion Vendor management/coordination Customer retention Effective communication with all stakeholders Risk Management Innovativeness in trouble shooting and problem-solving skills . Review System: Weekly review with reporting manager on day-to day activities and updates Quarterly review on performance and knowledge sharing by RM . Annual review by Management . Required Qualifications/Skills Candidate must be graduate, BE-Electrical/Diploma Electrical /EEE Must have good communication and negotiation skills Knowledge on PLC /SCADA will be an added advantage Must be a team player 2-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
