Proposal Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver

  techno-commercial proposals

  for

  grinding and conveying systems

  as well as

  material handling equipment

  .
• Study customer inquiries, specifications, and RFQ/ tender documents to understand scope, technical requirements, and evaluation criteria.
• Develop preliminary

  system design

  , equipment selection, and layout based on process parameters and material characteristics.
• Prepare

  technical documentation

  , costing, and Bill of Materials (BOM) for proposals.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Design, Project, Procurement, and Sales) for data, cost inputs, and clarifications.
• Optimize design solutions for

  efficiency, reliability, and cost competitiveness

  .
• Support the sales team in

  technical discussions

  and

  client presentations

  during pre-bid and post-bid stages.
• Ensure proposals comply with company standards and client specifications.
• Participate in handover meetings to ensure smooth transition from proposal to project execution phase.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of

  grinding systems

  ,

  pneumatic or mechanical conveying systems

  , and

  bulk material handling equipment

  .
• Understanding of

  process flow, equipment sizing, and system integration

  .
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  ,

  MS Excel

  , and

  engineering calculation tools

  .
• Strong analytical and cost estimation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Background / Added Advantage:

• Experience in

  food, spice, or pharmaceutical

  industries.
• Familiarity with

  hygienic design standards

  and

  dust control systems

  .
• Exposure to

  system proposals

  for processes involving

  milling, classification, blending, or pneumatic conveying

  .
• Experience working with

  OEMs or system integrators

  in

  powder processing

  or

  material handling

  domains.
