Project Specific Research Engineer (Mechanical Sled Testing) - ARAI Contract - PSL

ARAI, Pune is a premier Automotive Research Institute, with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, involved in R&D, Homologation, Testing & Certification, Calibration & Skill Development services to Automotive and Allied industries globally.

We are looking for the following position for our Passive Safety Laboratory (PSL),

Designation: Project Specific Research Engineer (Mechanical Sled Testing) - ARAI Contract - 1 Nos.

Location - ARAI - FID, Chakan

Work Experience: 2-3 years

ARAI is looking for mechanical resource in the domain of ‘Sled Testing’ for 1-year contract. Candidates should possess necessary skill sets mentioned in below job description.

Candidates should be Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering from reputed College with good record of academic career. He should possess handy Industry work experience & good communication skills.

Job Description:

To work under supervision of Engineer for complete test preparation till release of draft report as per SOP.
Understanding the Test related standards, specifications.
Responsible for various test preparation activities for BIWs, Seats, Batteries, Ambulance Stretcher, Interior Fittings, etc.
Setting up 3D Portable CMMs – FARO, Hexagon, offboard and onboard high-speed cameras, etc. as per SOP.
Planning cum Independent execution of various type of Sled tests and management of resources.
Conduct periodic preventive maintenance of the test equipment as per PM procedure.
Preparation of various Type of reports.
Maintain 5-S in the Lab.

Implementation of QMS practices.

Soft skills: Knowledge of MS office, Good communication skills.

Other requirements: Willing to work in Shifts, Good track record if already employed.

Age: Not exceeding 30 years.

Languages Preferred: Marathi, English and Hindi.
