Project Manager- State Liaison

About the Organization:

Swaniti Initiative is a fourteen-year-old social enterprise that is working at the intersection of climate, governance and last mile delivery. We believe that while the willingness and resources exist, there are fundamental gaps in the execution within communities that is the biggest crisis in the climate movement. Swaniti works with subnational governments to conduct microplanning exercises in consultation with communities and key stakeholders, provides technical assistance to subnational governments toward implementation and supports in monitoring and delivery of programs. A significant focus of our work within climate and governance is on preparing the private sector and communities for energy transition.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Project Manager – State

Liaison to lead project coordination efforts. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are aligned with state policies, regulations, and stakeholder expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison between the organization and relevant state departments.
  
• Manage coordination with state-level stakeholders to support in projects and develop project timelines, track deliverables, and ensure alignment of project objectives with state strategic priorities.
  
• Identify and analyse challenges and opportunities associated with utility-scale renewable energy integration within DISCOM frameworks.
  
• Represent the organization in public forums, community meetings, and stakeholder consultations as required.
  

Requirements

Qualifications Required:

• Project management experience of being able to work with state/national governments on understand renewable transition, gaps and overcoming them with 12- 20 years of experience.
  
• Masters is preferred.
  
• Good technical knowledge about DISCOM functioning, data rooms for energy transition and impediments and opportunities on utility scale renewable.
  
• Past experience with state governments strongly preferred.
  
• Good presentation skills (verbal, written, PPT, etc.)
  
• Experience in DISCOM is preferred.
  
• Agility to travel.
