Project Manager (Agriculture Domain)

Role & responsibilities

i. Responsible for leading the entire project activities focusing on technology deployment, project monitoring, process-re-engineering, change management, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring timely delivery in alignment with Government standards and client needs.

ii. Candidate should be hands on in Consulting and document articulation.

Responsibilities:

i. Work with Department Head to realize the Project requirements and objectives.

ii. Document processes, conceptual notes and design related matters as defined in the scope of the projects.

iii. Responsible for end-end successful implementation of the project.

iv. Closely work with technology vendors, partners, internal stakeholders, and department to ensure solution development and implementation.

v. Responsible for preparing, validating and reviewing the technical and functional design documents and user manuals.

vi. Managing the Change Request and/or Change Control Notes processes.

vii. Regularly supervise requests for matters related to scope, resources and vendors and resolve issues related to development.

viii. Administer all implementation issues and generate short-term resolutions, as well as long term preventive measures for development.

ix. Oversee and monitor performance of assigned tasks to ensure compliance with governance policy and operating standards.

x. Coordinate the administration of multiple functional modules within the project and serve as a principle point of liaison between Department Head and other stakeholders.

xi. Engage appropriate internal resources to resolve technical issues and update the department on progress toward resolution.

xii. Periodically review software support log(s); track performance and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

xiii. Implement the approved communication and reporting procedures set up among project stakeholders for effective project status reporting on a periodic basis.

xiv. Identification of project risks and associated dependencies to take suitable pre-emptive actions and advise accordingly.

xv. Consultations with various internal stakeholders aligning their requirements with the objectives of the project.

xvi. Ensure Quality certification and process documentation as per the industry standard practice.

Qualification:

i. BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent from Institute/University recognized by UGC/AICTE. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent from Institute/University recognized by UGC/AICTE is desirable.

ii. Minimum 15 years of experience in IT project consulting and implementation in reputed IT organization(s) / Government. Experience with externally aided projects is an added advantage.

Desirable Experience:

i. Experience in formulating and conceptualizing technology solutions and understanding of full stack development concepts.

ii. Should have extensive experience in designing solutions for complex IT Projects.

iii. Experience in full life cycle implementation of at least one e-Governance project is desired.

iv. Experience with Digital Agriculture/DBT is preferred.

v. Capable to orchestrate project requirements and corresponding strategies between the department and development teams.

vi. Must have proven ability to manage project timelines, on-budget delivery and quality of large-scale project implementation.

vii. Good grasp of technology and tools with capability to give inputs on technology and tools.

viii. Must have demonstrated an ability to quickly grasp new business domains and led projects in several business domains.

ix. Possess excellent understanding of Quality and Process framework.

x. Should have experience in defining IT roadmap for government departments.

xi. Must have demonstrated the following project management skills:
