Role: Project Finance Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Build, update, and maintain complex project finance models, including sensitivity analyses and supporting deal documentation.
• Lead project financing and fund-raising activities for Solar PV, Wind, Hydro, and emerging assets such as EV infrastructure.
• Prepare offering materials, including investor presentations, financial memoranda, and internal approval notes.
• Submit financing proposals to potential lenders and coordinate end-to-end project appraisal, including responding to lender queries.
• Manage lender-driven due diligence exercises, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the analysis, negotiation, and execution of financing and security documentation.
• Ensure timely submission of compliance reports, financial covenants, and periodic lender updates.
• Work cross-functionally with sales, business development, engineering, operations, manufacturing, and corporate finance teams.
• Conduct ad hoc research and analysis on new markets, regulatory developments, and emerging financing structures.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong understanding of the power, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors in India (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in project finance modelling and execution of debt financing for infrastructure/renewables.
• Solid academic background from a top-tier college/university.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex financial analysis to senior management, lenders, and investors.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders from investors to engineers and operations teams.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality reports and presentations.
• Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, negotiation ability, and a mindset of continuous learning.
• High attention to detail, analytical rigour, and strong problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, positive, can-do attitude with creativity, resilience, and a willingness to take calculated risks.
