Job DescriptionThe ProjectExecution Manager will be responsible for end-to-end execution of industrialboiler and process heating projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency,and adherence to quality and safety standards. The role demands strongtechnical expertise in boiler systems (biomass/solid fuel based) along withhands-on experience in equipment procurement, vendor management ,Constructionand Commissioning and cross-functional coordination.
KeyResponsibilities
- Project Execution
- Lead complete project lifecycle from engineering to commissioning for boiler and utility systems.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for seamless execution.
- Review P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical documents to ensure design alignment with site requirements.
- Conduct site progress reviews, manage contractors, and ensure adherence to timelines and safety norms.
- Boiler & Process Expertise
- Provide technical guidance on boiler selection, sizing, performance parameters, and auxiliary systems.
- Supervise installation, erection, and commissioning of boilers (e.g., biomass boilers).
- Troubleshoot operational and performance issues during testing and handover stages.
- Support optimization of steam system efficiency, emissions, and reliability.
- Procurement & Vendor Management
- Drive procurement activities for major equipmentboilers, auxiliaries, and balance of plant items.
- Evaluate technical and commercial bids, negotiate with vendors, and finalize purchase orders.
- Develop vendor database and ensure supplier quality, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.
- Track equipment delivery schedules and coordinate logistics for timely site availability.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Interface with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders for project progress reviews and approvals.
- Ensure documentation, quality checks, and statutory compliance throughout execution.
- Report project progress, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance execution efficiency and cost optimization.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to standardization of project management best practices.
Qualifications& Experience
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering .
- Experience: 10-12 years in Project Execution/Construction in EPC environment.
- Hands-on experience in biomass/solid fuel boiler projects preferred.
- Proven track record in equipment procurement and vendor negotiations.
- Proficiency in Project scheduling and tracking.
