Job Summary
The Project Engineer will play a key role in executing and managing various Maritime, Shipping, and Oil Gas PMS projects. The individual will work closely with the project management team to extract and manage technical data, maintain system databases, and ensure the effective operation of Planned Maintenance Systems for ships and vessels. This position requires a strong background in marine engineering and excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineers, ship crew, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and classify shipboard equipment/machinery.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Understand and document maintenance instructions and schedules from OEM Manuals and best marine practices.
  • Extract relevant information from manuals and input data into Excel templates.
  • Create a component hierarchy tree structure from drawings and machinery lists.
  • Check job maintenance procedures and spare parts.
  • Mark makers manual pages for screening and identification of spare parts extraction from OEM Spare Parts Manuals.
  • Link components to jobs and spare parts to respective equipment/components.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or GME.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sailing, production, design, or shipyard.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and typing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in PMS Systems, databases, and maintenance jobs is an added advantage.
  • Indian CDC.
  • Experience in extracting data from maritime data sources and working with PMS software like AMOS, Sertica, Shipnet, DNV-GL, KAPA, Ship Manager, and NS5.
