Project Engineer

To oversee and execute the site-level engineering, installation, and commissioning activities for Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) EPC projects in state of Gujarat and PAN India, ensuring compliance with design, quality, safety, and timeline standards.

Role & responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise and coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works related to WWTP construction.
• Ensure installation of equipment, pipelines, tanks, aeration systems, etc., as per design and BOQ.
• Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and labour for timely execution.
• Resolve technical and execution-related issues on-site.

2. Engineering Support

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and datasheets.
• Provide red-marked drawings and as-built documentation post-completion.
• Support project team in RFIs and technical clarifications.

3. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure workmanship and materials meet quality and regulatory standards
• Perform and document inspections, tests, and QA/QC checks.
• Adhere to HSE protocols and ensure safe work practices.

4. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, and internal departments.
• Maintain site records, daily progress reports, and weekly updates.
• Assist in planning schedules, resource forecasting, and progress tracking.

5. Commissioning & Handover

• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including functional testing.
• Troubleshoot during startup and ensure a smooth handover to the client.

Desired Skills:

• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes (SBR, MBBR, MBR, ASP, UF, NF, RO).
• Experience in reading GA Drawings, HFDs, Layouts, P&IDs and Isometrics.
• Good communication and troubleshooting abilities.
• Well-versed with advanced Excel and MS Office.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness for frequent travel.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education:

  Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Piping / Chemical.

• Experience:

  2-4 years in EPC execution of WWTP or ETP projects

• Language:

  Hindi, Gujarati, English
