Job Description

Lead the design and development of electrical systems for battery electrical system design.
Develop comprehensive schematics and layouts for low-voltage (LV) electrical systems.
Design and develop electrical architecture for lithium-ion battery packs including schematics and layouts.
Define and specify electrical components such as fuses, contactors, relays, connectors, and wiring.
Work closely with mechanical engineers to ensure proper integration and packaging of electrical components.
Collaborate with the BMS team to define sensing, communication, and control interfaces.
Design protection circuits for overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuit, and thermal events.
Perform simulations and analysis (voltage drops, thermal effects, EMI/EMC) to validate design performance.
Create wiring harness designs, connector pinouts, and integration drawings.
Generate detailed documentation including BOMs, assembly drawings, and test plans.
Support prototyping, testing, debugging, and failure analysis of battery systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ISO 26262, UN 38.3).
Act as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve conflicts and ensure alignment on project deliverables.
Communicate project updates, risks, and outcomes to senior management and other stakeholders.
Represent the team in internal and external meetings, ensuring effective information flow.
Addressing the customer queries and handling customer feedback.
Set an example to junior engineers in the team & coach them as required.
Onsite support during proto-typing and testing.
Reporting to the Business Manager\Team Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
