Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using tools like

    MS Project / Primavera (P6)

    .
  • Monitor critical paths, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams for schedule integration.

2. Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Prepare and manage

    project budgets

    ,

    cash flow forecasts

    , and

    cost tracking

    reports.
  • Monitor project expenditures against budgets and identify cost variances.
  • Support project managers in maintaining profitability through cost optimization.

3. Reporting & Documentation

  • Generate periodic

    progress reports

    ,

    cost reports

    , and

    variance analyses

    .
  • Prepare management dashboards for financial and operational performance.
  • Maintain complete documentation of project controls processes and reports.

4. Risk & Change Management

  • Identify potential project risks and maintain a

    risk register

    .
  • Evaluate and report the cost and schedule impact of change orders and variations.
  • Support decision-making through data-driven insights.

5. Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams engineering, procurement, accounts, and site.
  • Liaise with clients and subcontractors on cost and schedule-related issues.
  • Assist in project reviews, audits, and stakeholder presentations.

6. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, contract terms, and project control standards.
  • Support internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO/QMS documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

    B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (MBA/PG in Project Management preferred).
  • Experience:

    8–10 years in project control, cost management, or planning within EPC / Infrastructure / Industrial projects.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in

      Primavera P6 / MS Project

      , Excel, Power BI (preferred).
    • Strong knowledge of

      project cost control

      ,

      cash flow

      , and

      earned value management (EVM)

      .
    • Familiarity with project accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Variance between planned vs. actual cost and schedule.
  • Timeliness and accuracy of project reporting.
  • Cash flow predictability and cost recovery efficiency.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and project governance adherence.
