Job Description

Desirable Qualifications

  • Prior experience working as an

    Accountant

  • Ability to

    track payments

    to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in

    budget preparation and forecasting

  • Knowledge of

    tax processing

    , including filing returns
  • Strong understanding of

    accounting regulations

    ,

    GST

    ,

    PFMS

    , and compliance procedures
  • Hands-on experience with

    Tally

    and other accounting software
  • Advanced

    MS Excel

    skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Analysis)
  • Experience with

    General Ledger (GL)

    functions
  • Strong

    attention to detail

    and excellent

    analytical skills

  • Additional certifications, such as

    CPA

    or

    CMA,

    will be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain

    all accounting transactions

  • Prepare

    budget forecasts

    and financial plans
  • Publish

    timely financial statements

  • Manage

    monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings

  • Reconcile

    accounts payable (AP)

    and

    accounts receivable (AR)

  • Ensure

    timely bank payments

    and handle invoice reconciliations
  • Compute taxes and prepare

    tax returns

  • Prepare and manage

    Balance Sheets

    ,

    Profit & Loss Statements

    , and other financial reports
  • Report on the organization's

    financial health and liquidity

  • Conduct

    audit-related

    activities and ensure documentation accuracy
  • Maintain

    confidentiality of financial data

    and perform database backups as needed
  • Ensure

    compliance

    with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
