Project Associate (Embedded Security Engineer)

Position: Project Associate -Embedded Security Engineer

Candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive security assessments on embedded devices that include working with hardware, firmware, and Embedded Linux.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Extract firmware from embedded devices and systems

(2) Analyse interaction hardware components and interfaces

(3) Perform firmware reverse engineering and analysis

(4) Audit the security of hardware protocols and communication interfaces

(5) Interact with and test JTAG, UART, and other hardware debug interface Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability research on embedded systems

(6) Develop custom tools and scripts to automate and enhance testing capabilities

Skill and Educational qualifications:

(1) Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science or Electronics/Electrical Engineering

(2) 2-3 yrs of confirmed experience in hardware security, embedded system penetration testing, authentication and security protocols

(3) Proficient in firmware extraction and analysis

(4) Strong understanding of embedded hardware interfaces and protocols

(5) Expertise in conducting JTAG, UART, and SPI-based testing

(6) Ability to identify and bypass hardware security mechanisms

(7) Familiarity with embedded operating systems and architectures

(8) Proficiency in programming and scripting (e.g., Python, C, Bash)

(9) Experience with hardware debug tools and test equipment

(10) Good understanding penetration testing methodologies

(11) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

We are looking to fill this role urgently

Contract duration: Initially 1 year with a possible extension for 3 more years Salary: 6 to 7 LPA (subjected to experience and skill set)
