Role Overview: As a Physical Verifier at GICIA India Private Limited, your main responsibility will be to coordinate with clients and the Head office to schedule physical verification on Timber Legality Assessment. You must be able to identify different types of woods as per Indian wood industries and ensure that the client company adheres to the required standards and plans. Conducting physical verifications according to Timber Legality Standards within agreed schedules with the clients will be crucial. Furthermore, you will need to write reports based on findings, walkthroughs, and evidence to verify compliance with standard requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate with clients and the Head office to schedule physical verification on Timber Legality Assessment - Identify different types of woods as per Indian wood industries - Ensure that the client company follows the requirements of desired standards and plans - Conduct physical verifications as per Timber Legality Standards within agreed schedules with the clients - Write reports based on findings, walkthroughs, and evidence to verify compliance with standard requirements Qualifications Required: - Graduate in Forest Management, Forestry, Wood Science, or Environmental sciences - Minimum of 01-year experience - Fluency in English and Hindi - Knowledge of any other regional language would be an added benefit - Willingness to travel to multiple locations - High level of process orientation, eye-for-detail/observation power, analytical skills, and reasoning ability - Effective communication and presentation skills - Proficiency in MS-Office applications such as MS Word, Power Point, and Excel - Ability to grow business and retain existing clients If you are interested in this position, you may send your Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a cover letter to hr@gicia.org.
