Program Manager (GIS/POI Mapping)

Role Overview: As a Program Manager (GIS/POI Mapping) at our company, you will be responsible for leading a large team to achieve project goals. You will provide recommendations for enhancing the mapping process, oversee hiring and training processes, and ensure the team's performance is reviewed regularly. Your role will involve coordinating with various functional managers, managing service delivery performance, and handling escalations and stakeholder interactions effectively. Additionally, you will be expected to have a deep understanding of project management systems and tools to support senior management with project progress updates and quality metrics review. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a large team towards meeting project goals - Provide recommendations for improving the mapping process - Oversee hiring, training, mentoring, and performance reviews - Coordinate with functional managers for project execution - Manage service delivery performance, escalations, risk, and stakeholder interactions - Utilize project management systems and tools for workflow management - Support senior management with project progress updates and quality metrics review - Coordinate with clients to resolve technical queries and escalations - Identify training needs, conduct trainings, and manage project planning and delivery - Manage Team Managers and Team Leads, troubleshoot issues, and conduct periodic status review meetings - Monitor team performance and adapt to change management effectively Qualifications Required: - Fluent written and spoken English with high influential verbal communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and GIS packages - Strong technical analysis skills, quality management, and metrics review - Experience in managing compliance systems such as ISO and ISMS - Ability to manage trainings effectively as a chief mentor to project teams - Educational qualification: Engineering Diploma/Degree in any stream or Post Graduate in science with specialization in GIS-related software like AutoCAD, ESRI, MapInfo, and Intergraph packages - Proven experience in people management and delivery management - Any degree or diploma in project and performance management would be advantageous,
