Job Title: Program Director Tech Operations & Governance
JD Overview
We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Program Director to lead the Technology Operations & Governance charter across our fast-scaling, data-driven e-commerce platform. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring that technology initiatives especially those impacting business finance, reconciliation, and ERP integrations are delivered with consistency, strategic alignment, and operational rigor.
The Program Director will be the SPOC for the Steerign Committee and Executive Stakehodlers - who will work cross-functionally across technology, finance, data, and business teams, leading program governance, vendor transitions, budget alignment, and risk management across a portfolio of initiatives that span web/app platforms, data analytics, and backend finance systems like Oracle General Ledger.
Key Responsibilities
Own and lead the Tech Ops governance charter, ensuring alignment with business finance strategy, operational goals, and enterprise priorities.
Drive end-to-end program governance, tracking execution across multiple workstreams including product, data engineering, reconciliation, and ERP integration.
Collaborate with business finance leaders to ensure programs support month-end closure, financial reconciliation accuracy, and reporting readiness.
Provide status visibility to executive stakeholders, identifying risks, tracking progress, and managing dependencies across cross-functional teams.
Manage resource planning, program budgets, and vendor contracts, ensuring optimal utilization and cost efficiency.
Oversee and manage the transition from existing vendors or internal teams, ensuring knowledge continuity, operational stability, and risk mitigation.
Serve as a senior escalation point for delivery issues, governance gaps, or cross-functional blockers, ensuring timely resolutions and accountability.
Support stakeholder management with technical architects, domain SMEs, finance controllers, and engineering leads, driving structured collaboration and reporting.
Core Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in technology operations, program management, or strategic delivery roles in a complex enterprise environment.
Proven track record in managing cross-functional technology programs involving App/Web platforms, data analytics, and backend finance systems.
Strong background in financial reconciliation processes and the ability to connect business transactions with financial system records.
Deep understanding of ERP General Ledger platforms, preferably Oracle GL, and their integration with upstream systems and financial controls.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience interacting with technical teams, finance SMEs, product leads, and executive leadership.
Exposure to microservices architecture and modern data platforms, enabling clear understanding of system interdependencies and data flow.
Strong governance orientation, with hands-on experience in risk management, resource planning, program-level budgeting, and executive reporting.
Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment, accountability, and outcomes across diverse teams. Role & responsibilities
