Professor (Sustainability/ Economics/ Marketing)

As a Professor at Woxsen University in the integrated domains of Sustainability, Economics, and Marketing, your primary responsibility will be to lead and teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in areas such as Sustainability, Green Marketing, Environmental Economics, and Sustainable Innovation. You are expected to conduct high-impact interdisciplinary research and publish in top-tier journals across sustainability, economics, and marketing domains. Additionally, you will be required to develop industry and policy-oriented case studies, pedagogical content, supervise doctoral and masters theses, and mentor junior faculty and researchers. Engaging in consultancy, executive education, and funded research projects aligned with ESG, SDGs, and future economies is also a key aspect of this role. Collaboration across departments to foster a sustainability-driven innovation ecosystem on campus and representing Woxsen at international academic and industry forums are integral parts of this position. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Ph.D. in Sustainability, Economics, Marketing, or a related field from a globally recognized institution. A minimum of 8-10 years of academic or industry experience with a strong publication record in ABDC/Scopus indexed journals is required. Demonstrated interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research in at least two of the three domains, experience in curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, and project-based learning are essential qualifications. Candidates with industry collaborations or policy advisory work in climate action, sustainable marketing, or green economics will be highly preferred. Global exposure and the ability to engage with diverse student cohorts are also important qualifications for this role. In addition to the qualifications and experience, preferred competencies for this position include visionary thinking to shape the future of sustainable business education, a passion for mentoring and capability building among students and faculty, deep understanding of SDGs, ESG frameworks, and regenerative economies, knowledge of data-driven marketing and behavioral economics in sustainability contexts, and experience in initiating research centers or innovation labs.
